With two representatives for each sex, the Caribbean squad won in the South American city two berths to the carioca summer event, next August, through the experienced Andy Pereira and Jorge Moisés Campos, both in the first competitive day.
According to the website of the International Federation of the sport, the also Cuban Lysis Castillo was close to getting the ticket in the same starting day, when she lost to the main player of the moment in Latin America, Puerto Rican Adriana Diaz.
