Mexico and Cuba Sign Cooperation Accord in SportsHAVANA, Cuba, Mar 1 (acn) Several dozen Cuban coaches will contribute to the development of different sports in Mexico, Luis Alberto Perez, general director of Cubadeportes, told Prensa Latina on Tuesday.

The Caribbean director referred to the agreement signed the previous day, by way of which 46 coaches and specialists of the island will be arriving in the country in the coming days and will be working in various states.
Perez spoke about the good climate atmosphere established with Conade director, Alfredo Castillo, who whom he signed the agreement in the presence of Cuban Ambassador Dagoberto Rodriguez.
He said five of the Cuban specialists, among which there are also programmers, will offer their services at the high performance center of Mexico.
Other coaches will work in the youth categories and in the national Olympics of Mexico in sports like judo, tae kwon do, boxing, gymnastics, wrestling and swimming, among others.
The general director of Cubadeportes will also visit the state of Nuevo Leon, where a few weeks ago the first vice president of the National Sports Institute (INDER), Roberto Leon, signed a sports agreement with the state governor, Jaime Heliodoro Rodriguez.
Nuevo Leon, particularly in the capital, Monterrery, put at the disposal of the Cuban athletes its facilities for training. In addition, the state wants to have Cuban coaches, he asserted.
Regarding the upcoming Olympics of Rio de Janiero 2016, he explained that Cubadeportes launched the offer internationally -Train in Cuba and Win in Brazil.
This includes competitions and training with Cuban teams, the use of facilities, accommodation, and specialized medical care, so that national teams from other countries can train on the island, known for its sporting achievements and the level of its specialists in the field.
He recalled that Cuba and Mexico have almost 100 athletes qualified for the Olympics and that in Cuba athletes from other countries can train in a climate similar to that of Rio de Janeiro.
