HAVANA, Cuba, Feb 24 (acn) Cuban Osleni Guerrero will be present at the Guatemala badminton tournament, which begins today with category of International Series and will grant 2 500 points for the world ranking.
Guerrero, 57th in the word list and second seed of the contest, will debut tomorrow because he was bye in the first round of an event that will run until February 28.
He told ACN that right now he is not one hundred percent of his chances, although he is focused on training well and making emphasis on correcting mistakes he made at the International Series tournament in Manhattan Beach, Los Angeles, United States.
Osleni´s major rivals in Guatemala are the local Kevin Cordon, first seed of the tourney and 44 th in the world ranking, in addition to Brazilian Ygor Coelho De Oliveira and Canadian Martin Giuffre.
In his Olympic qualifying route, Guerrero, runner-up in Guadalajara 2011 Pan American Games, must also compete in the international tournaments of Peru, Jamaica and Giraldilla of Havana; the Grand Prix of Sao Paulo, the Peru Challenge and the Chile International contest.
