HAVANA, Cuba, Dec 1 (acn) The Cuban futsal team beat 4-1 Over All, club belonging to the Peruvian first division, during the beginning of its training tour for the South American nation, which will include three other matches.
As reported to ACN a source of the Cuban Soccer Federation, the most outstanding Cuban player was the experienced power forward Jhonet Stalin Martinez, who scored three goals, while the other one was scored by Reinier Fiallo, who plays in that same position.
Cuba will face today a much more demanding match against 1º de Mayo club, which is the monarch of the Peruvian first division.
Meanwhile, on December 3 and 5 the Caribbean team will face the national team of that country, which undoubtedly will be the main attraction of this tour on Peruvian soil.
Cuba is training to qualify to the knockout stage of the Caribbean, to be held in January in Havana, event attended by eight teams divided in two groups, and will grant two direct tickets for the CONCACAF finals, based in Costa Rica, on May 2016.
This contest will award three berths for the World Cup, which will take place in the Colombian city of Cali, on September 2016.
Cuba has attended four Futsal World Cups.
