Cuba: Forced to Beat Canada for Olympic Qualifying Tournament Semi-finals

HAVANA, Cuba, Oct 6 (acn) The Cuban U-23 soccer team is forced to beat Canada to reach the semifinals of the CONCACAF Olympic qualifying tournament, held in several U.S. cities, which hosts on Tuesday the final day of the qualifying competition.

This crucial game of group A, to take place in Commerce City, Colorado, which is lead by the already qualified local squad with six points, is followed by Canada (3), while Cuba and Panama appear at the bottom with only one unit due to their draw in the match between them at the opening day.
In the first two matches of the group, Cuba has a balance of one draw (1-1 against Panama) and one loss (6-1 versus USA). Meanwhile, Canadians won 3-1 over Panama and lost 1-3 against the hosts.
Undoubtedly, the best Canadian player in the tournament so far has been attacking midfielder Michael Petrasso, who has scored two of the four goals of his team, in addition to an assist.
Raul Gonzalez, Cuban head coach, should not change the starting lineup with which he has started the first two games, so the Cuban goalkeeper would be Sandy Sanchez, along with defenders Andy Baquero, Abel Martinez, Arturo Diz Pe and Yosiel Piedra.
Meanwhile, he would use Brian Rosales, Arichel Hernandez, Daniel Luis Sáez and David Urgellés as midfielders, with Maykel Reyes and Hector Morales as forwards.
This contest enlists eight teams divided into two groups. The two sides reaching the finals will get direct tickets for the 2016 Summer Olympics, while the bronze medalist will play a playoff against Colombia.
