We came with the goal of training here in Camagüey, the province with the best boxing in Cuba, a country that is distinguished by the skill, movement and good job with hands of its fighters, which we seek to develop in Chilean boxers, added Martinez.
The Pan American qualifying tournament shall be held in Tijuana, Mexico, from March 25 to 31 and there they expect to earn at least two tickets to the continental event of Toronto, next July, and their best hopes lay in welterweight Daniel Muñoz and heavyweight Miguel Veliz, silver and bronze medalists respectively in the last Giraldo Cordova Cardin International Tournament.
The list is completed by the middleweight Joseph Cherkaskyn, who was runner up in Andres Campos 2014 South American Games, in the 52 kilograms, Ramón Mascareños (64) and Julio Alamos (81).
