HAVANA, Cuba, Feb 20 (acn) After nine stages, Artemisa´s José Mojica remains as leader of the general classification of Guantánamo-Havana cycling tour, with time of 24: 46.19 hours.
Mojica , who retook the lead during the eighth stage, held kept the difference of 1.32 minutes on Sancti Spiritus´ Joel Solenzal and 2.36 over Granma´s Yennier López, second and third, respectively, said local sources.
Indeed, Lopez commands the mountain classification with 29 points, followed by Arnold Alcolea, with the same score, and Mojica (24), in that order, while intermediate sprints are led by Guantanamo´s Onel Santa Clara (22) who is escorted by Matanzas´ Yasmani Estupiñán (16) and Villa Clara´s Lisuandy Alonso (9) respectively.
Meanwhile, the favorites Matanzas , with cumulative of 73: 05.13 hours, Artemisa (+16.10 minutes) and Sancti Spiritus (+23.00) appear on top of the team classification.
The ninth stage of 92 kilometers run yesterd ay between the cities of Cienfuegos and Santa Clara was won by Havana´s Leandro Marcos, with time of 2: 18.19 hours, followed by Santa Clara and Santiago´s Miguel Valido, in that order.
