Cuban Joel Solenzal Leads Guantánamo-Havana Cycling TourCAMAGUEY, Cuba, Feb 16 (acn) Sancti Spiritus´ Joel Solenzal ousted Artemisa´s José Mojica from first place in the individual general event of Guantánamo-Havana cycling tour's fifth stage run from Holguin to Camaguey.

Solenzal now appears 37 seconds ahead of the former leader.

The stage was won by Guantanamo's Onel Santa Clara, with time of 4: 38.34 hours, same time of Matanzas´ Yasmani Estupiñán and Artemisa´s Eduardo Acosta, who escorted him, in that order.

After the victory, Santa Clara, 21, told AIN that this performance confirmed him as leader in the point event, as he also won the intermediate sprints in Guáimaro and Sibanicú.

The other intermediate sprint of the stage was won by Artemisa´s Felix Nodarse.

The sixth stage will be run today between this city and Ciego de Avila, with a total distance of 113 kilometers.

With the participation of over 80 cyclists distributed in 14 teams, the tour began on February 11 in the city of Guantanamo and will end the coming 22 in the Paseo del Prado, in Havana.
