HAVANA, Cuba, Jun 26 (ACN) Come July, Cuba’s top track-and-field figures will have competitions in France, the Netherlands and Spain as part of their preparation for the 2024 Olympic Games, for which the island’s athletics has already secured 10 spots.
On July 4, Cristian Nápoles (triple jump), Yunisleidys García (100m) and Daily Cooper (800 m) will participate in the International Meeting of Sotteville-lès-Rouen 2024 in France, whereas the former, together with Luis Enrique Zayas (high jump) will also be in the FBK Games Hengelo, in the Netherlands, on July 7.
On their end, Roxana Gomez (400 m), Silinda Morales (discus throw) and Alejandro Parada (long jump), as well as the sprinter Garcia, will see action on July 9 in Malaga, Spain.
Furthermore, on July 13, Rose Mary Almanza (800m) will compete in the 27th Moore Guldensporen meeting in the Belgium.
