HAVANA, Cuba, Feb 6 (acn) The Dominican Republic advanced to the semifinals of the San Juan-2015 Caribbean Baseball Series when beating Mexico 3-2 on Thursday to further seal the qualification of Cuba to that phase and the elimination of the host Puerto Rico.
The Dominican team Cibao Gigantes were losing by two but they managed to score one run in the bottom of the eighth inning and also scored twice in the ninth to walk off the Mexican side of the Culiacan Tomateros, previously unbeaten in the tournament.
