HAVANA, Cuba, Jan 23 (acn) The Cuban U-20 soccer team was beaten 0-2 by El Salvador, and now has no chance of qualifying to the World Championship of the category, to be held this year in New Zealand.
According to available web pages, the big man in the Salvadoran offensive was the attacking midfielder Juan Barahona, scorer of both goals at the 57´ and 87´ minutes.
The pupils of Coach William Bennett had also clear chances but their forwards Eddy Luis Sanamé and Frank Manuel López failed to score.
This is the third time El Salvador defeats a Cuban team in this category, the first was in 1985 and the other one in 2013.
