Cuba U-20 Soccer Team to Face Honduras TodayHAVANA, Cuba, Jan 12 (acn) The U-20 Cuban soccer team will face today a crucial match against Honduras, in group B of the final phase of the North, Central American and Caribbean Confederation (CONCACAF), based in Jamaica.

12 teams attend this contest, divided into two groups, which grants four tickets to the World Cup, which will take place this year in New Zealand.

The Cuban side, coached by William Bennet, is in a precarious situation, because in its debut they lost 9-1 against Mexico, in the match played at the Montego Bay Sports Complex.

Meanwhile, Hondurans drew 2-2 El Salvador in their first match. This group B is completed with Haiti and Canada. Meanwhile, the United States, Trinidad and Tobago, Aruba, Panama, Guatemala and Jamaica appear in Poole A.
Against the Hondurans, Bennet´s line-up could be Elier Pozo as goalkeeper and the defenders Yendri Torres, Gilbert Iglesias, David Urgellés and Daniel Alarco.
Roberney Caballero, Brian Rosales, Roberto Peraza and Morgerman Rodriguez should be in midfield, while Frank Lopez and Eddy Saname -author of the goal versus Mexico, would play as attackers.
After this match against Honduran, Cuba will face Haiti (January 15), Canada (19) and El Salvador (22).
According to reports, the leaders of each group will qualify directly to the World Cup in New Zealand.
