HAVANA, Cuba, Jan 5 (acn) The Venezuelan boxing team that will contest the World Boxing League 2015 begins training in Cuba on Monday, according to Venezuelan media.
The 32-boxer team known as the "Caciques de Venezuela" is led by welter weight Gabriel Mestre. Venzuela´s Boxing Federation and the Technical Staff, headed by Alfredo Lemus, said that the team includes two groups, one of them traveling from Havana direct to Kazajstan for the competition, while another group will return to Venezuela to face the teams from the USA, Puerto Rico, Poland and Italy.
The World League in Venezuela will be hosted by facilities in the state of Vargas. This is the first time for a Venezuelan team to participate in the championship representing the South American country.
