Havana, Aug 22 (ACN) Three Cuban judo experts took one gold and two bronze medals at the International Festival of University Sports underway in the Russian city of Yekaterinburg.
Yusmary Reyes got the gold title in 63 kilos after defeating Belorussian Palina Slesarenka, while Alianny Carbonel (52 kilos) and Jorge Carlos Pineda (over 100 kilos) took the two bronze medals.
With these results, Cuban judo closed its participation with 11 athletes at the sports meet after having got two gold, one silver and three bronze medals in all.
Russia led the medal board with 11 gold medals, followed by Cuba with two and Tajikistan with one—the tree nations that shared all 14 titles.
