Puentes Will Open Cuban Participation in Junior World Judo Championship

HAVANA, Cuba, Oct 22 (acn) Leilandy Alain Puentes (60 kilograms) will be responsible to open competitive actions for Cuba in the Junior World Judo Championship, with a stage at the Fort Lauderdale Broward County Covention Center, in United States, with the presence of 563 athletes from 80 countries.

According to the website of the tournament, Puentes will debut against Begli Meretgeldiyev, from Turkmenistan, in Poole A in a division attended by 44 athletes.
The Cubans Gleydiel Camilo Hourrutunier (66), Magdiel Estrada (73) and Adilaidis Lemus (57) will debut tomorrow.
The Caribbean delegation is completed by Iván Silva (81), and the women Maylin del Toro (63), Nairelis Fuentes (70) and Gusmary García (+78).
The individual tournament entries reflect the presence of 563 athletes from 80 countries, especially for males (331-75), figures are supplemented by female
The individual event will be attended by 331 men from 75 countries, and 232 women from 64 nations.
