Matanzas Leads Cuban National Baseball Series

HAVANA, Cuba, Oct 20 (acn) Backed by the best hitting in the season, Matanzas will seek to remain today as leaders of the Cuban baseball championship during its visit to Camagüey.

The current national runners up have a team batting average of .316 and 123 RBIs in 21 matches, leaders in both stats, to support its presence on top of the standings with 14 wins and only 7 losses.

The Matanzas Crocodiles will face Camagüey who are away from leading positions, second to last with balance of 8-13, but that are inspired as they previously beat Villa Clara (10-11) a couple of times as a visitor.

Precisely the Villa Clara Oranges will have an interesting match against the current monarchs of Pinar del Río (7-11), a true classic between two great exponents of Cuban baseball, urged to w in right now to enter the called qualification area.
