HAVANA, Cuba, Sept 23 (acn) The 10 men that will represent Cuba in the boxing tournament of the upcoming Central American and Caribbean Games will compete and train in Morocco.
The President of the island's Boxing Federation, Alberto Puig, explained on Monday that the delegation will travel to that country on October 8 to participate in the Mohammed VI Cup on October 12-18 and to train later for several weeks, particularly for the regional meeting in Veracruz in November.
Olympic champions Robeisy Ramirez (56) and Roniel Iglesias (69), world twice champion boxers Lazaro Alvarez (60) and Julio Cesar La Cruz (81), and the winner of two silver medals at that level, Yasnier Toledo (64), are part of the 10-member group.
The group is completed with Santiago Amador (49), Yosbany Veitia (52), Arlen Lopez (75), Erislandy Savon (91) and Yoandris Toirac (+91).
