Cuba attends SMEs Forum in ItalyHAVANA, Oct 29 (ACN) Cuba attends the 5th Forum on Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (SMEs), hosted by the Italo-Latin American Institute (IILA) from October 28-30 in Padua, northern Italy.

The Cuban participation in this event is part of the actions carried out to broaden and deepen economic ties with this European country.
Alexis Rodriguez, Director General of Economy and Development of the Cuban Ministry of Agriculture, heads the delegation of the Caribbean island to the forum, made up of officials from the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment and the Office of the Historian of Havana.
The Cuban Embassy to Italy is represented by the Minister Counselor, Jorge Alfonzo, and the Counselor for Economic and Cooperation Issues, Emma Liens.
The Cuban delegation fulfills a program of visits to Paduan companies from the industrial, footwear, food, agriculture, tourism and innovation sectors.
The SMEs event includes workshops, presentations and peer-to-peer meetings in order to learn about the experiences and potentialities of the Veneto region, where Padua is located, and to identify possible business interests in line with Cuba's socioeconomic development priorities.
