Habanos S.A. celebrates 25 years of good workHAVANA, Cuba, Sep 13 (ACN) The Habanos S.A. corporation celebrates its 25 years of optimistic creation and with the challenge of growing, selling more and better to satisfy the needs of its clients at world level.

In a press conference held today in Havana, Ernesto Gonzalez Rodriguez, the company's operational marketing director, recalled that in 2018 Habanos grew by 7%, with a record revenues of 537 million dollars, demonstrating its strength in sales.
The world market (excluding the US, which is forbidden for Cuban products) share of this premium product is 70% in units and 80% in value, with presence in more than 160 countries, Gonzalez referred.
The Cuban market is in fifth place in the world by sales volume, according to the behavior of tourism during the past year, and remain stable in others such as Spain, France and Germany, he added.
Gonzalez Rodriguez thanked all who participate in the tobacco process, from those related to agriculture, industry, marketing to customers.
The brand has obtained a growth in retail concept and today has 148 Casas del Habano in the world, more than 1.000 specialists and more than 2.100 Habanos Points.
Habanos S.A. is a Cuban joint venture between Tabacuba and Tabacalera S.L.U. of the English group Imperial Tobacco, created in 1994 aimed at marketing and publicizing the world's best tobacco.
