Havana, Sep 12 (ACN) A stand fostering Cuba's economic and cultural potential was opened today at the 35th Espace Collectivites economic trade fair, headquartered in France, Prensa Latina reported.

In the Paris-Le Bourget Exhibition Park, outside Paris, the ceremony was held in the presence of the Cuban First Vice FM Marcelino Medina and the Cuban ambassador, Elio Rodriguez.
The French Secretary of State for Foreign Trade and Tourism, Jean-Baptiste Lemoyne, was also present. He highlighted the friendship that links both countries and the common defense of values such as dignity and sovereignty.
He also ratified Paris' decision not to succumb to extraterritorial sanctions in its willingness to boost bilateral bonds, alluding to the U.S. blockade policy and its pressure to isolate Cuba.
For his part, Ambassador Rodriguez mentioned the Cuban wish to strengthen relations at all levels with France, which is already among its top 10 trading partners.
The leader of the French Communist Party, Jean-Charles Negre, also took part in the opening of Cuba's stand, highlighting the island's economic possibilities and its resistance to Washington's hostility.
The French Secretary of State learned details about the economy, investment opportunities and some exportable products of the Caribbean nation.
He also received from first vice minister Medina and ambassador Rodriguez an update on the effects caused in Cuba by the hostile actions of the United States and its extraterritorial content.
