Cuba fosters business with Vietnamese companiesHavana, Sep 11 (ACN) The Cuban delegation to the 37th Session of the Intergovernmental Commission with Vietnam met today with executives of several local companies that do business with Cuba or are interested in doing so.

The exchanges will help the sides to identify potential for business, investment, co-operative production or other forms of collaboration in areas where one country has greater prospective than the other or where they can be complemented by similar advances in the issue in question.
The Cuban delegation was headed by the Minister of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment, Rodrigo Malmierca, who co-chairs the Intergovernmental Conference sessions, according to Prensa Latina.
It was especially interested in meetings with Hanel, a company specialized in the electronics and IT industry, and with the Viettel Military Telecommunications Group.
The latter is one of the 30 largest telecommunications companies in the world, with presence in a dozen nations in Asia, Africa and Latin America and a customer base of more than 85 million subscribers.
Malmierca was also welcomed by Vice PM Trinh Dinh Dung, with whom he exchanged views on the progress of the Intergovernmental Conference. He had a similar meeting yesterday with the head of the Vietnamese government, Nguyen Xuan Phuc.
He also met with the head of Health, Nguyen Thi Kim Tien, and with Ao Thang Hai and Nguyen Duc Trung, deputy ministers of Commerce and Industry and Planning and Investment, respectively.
The Intergovernmental Conference will conclude tomorrow with the signing of a protocol setting out the intentions of the respective governments in order to strengthen trade and bilateral cooperation.
