Havana, Sep 6 (ACN) The Spanish foreign-owned company BM Interinvest Technologies Mariel, S.L.U. Group was established in the Mariel Special Development Zone (ZEDM), official sources reported.
According to a statement from ZEDM, the branch of the BM Interinvest Technologies Mariel, S.L.U. Group will build and operate a platform equipped with offices and warehouses for industrial and service use as well as other services relating to these activities.
The Spanish company is licensed to operate for a 40-year period, joining the more than 45 companies from some twenty countries currently authorized to operate in this site.
The business development program of the ZEDM, aimed at dynamizing the activity, was approved by the Cuban Council of Ministers late last year.
According to its general director, Ana Teresa Igarza, the plan focuses on keeping the ZEDM's goal of being an advanced multi-sector center of regional reference.
With its approval, she added, a programmatic guideline is drawn up until 2042 including, in a five-yearly manner, with development and business program portfolios.
