Cuba upgrades mobile app with four new functions

HAVANA, Cuba, Aug 28 (ACN) Cubans using the Transfermovil app, developed by the telecommunications company ETECSA, can update it from this Wednesday, including new features that allows them post money orders and consult their invoices.

Persons may cancel or reprint their debit cards if they are a Banco Metropolitano user, ETECSA posted on Twitter.
It also includes locating money transfers and mobile voting options, the latter will be fully operational in coming days, Elisa Alfaro Diaz, ETECSA's Communication and Public Relations specialist, told Cuban News Agency.
Since its creation, the app has provided users with banking, public and telecommunications services increasing to simplify processes and reduce cash holdings, prioritizing electronic flow.
Banking functions include card and bank account checks, intercard cash transfers, changing transaction limits and reviewing transactions.
As for public services, these include checking invoices and paying electricity, water, gas and telephone bills, as well as paying taxes to the National Tax Administration Office (ONAT).
Telecommunication features, on the other hand, include consulting and paying landlines phone bills and checking mobile phone balances, managing data, voice and messaging plans, top-ups, balance transfers, and others.
