HAVANA, Cuba, Feb 27 (ACN) Cuba will participate in the Vitrina Anato 2019 International Tourism Fair, which will take place from February 27 to March 1 at its usual headquarters in Bogota, Colombia.
According to a press release from the Ministry of Tourism, the island's delegation will be headed by Minister Manuel Marrero.
Specialists from the main Cuban hotel chains Gran Caribe and Cubanacán, travel agencies Cubatur and Paradiso, as well as partners Meliá Hotels, Iberostar, Blue Diamond, Roc Hotels and NH will be present.
The Colombian market continues to be of great importance for Cuban tourism, and in 2018 ranked 16th among the main sources, with the arrival of 45,966 visitors.
This figure represented a growth of 11.7 percent compared to the previous year, and was a historic record for the arrival of Colombian visitors to the nation.
In the current year, Colombia is the second country with the highest growth rate among the top twenty main markets, according to the text.
Within the framework of Anato 2019, participants will be summoned to the 39th International Tourism Fair FITCuba, which will take place from May 6 to 11 and will have Spain as guest country.
FITCuba will be dedicated to events and incentives and its destination will be Havana, within the framework of the 500th anniversary of its foundation, with headquarters in the San Carlos de la Cabaña fortress.
