Cuba attends Belgium Tourism Fair

Cuba attends Belgium Tourism FairHAVANA, Cuba, Feb 13 (ACN) The 61st edition of the Belgium Tourism Fair, Salon des Vacances, was held in Brussels with a large Cuban presence, whose stand was dedicated to honor the village of San Cristóbal de La Habana for its 500 years of foundation, diplomatic sources reported today.

According to Prensa Latina, Cuba was represented by Meliá and Iberostar, Havanatur travel agency and the Ministry of Tourism.

This guaranteed "that visitors would get personalized attention about the incredible opportunities that Cuba puts at their disposal, and the political will of the country to strengthen its infrastructure and quality at the highest international level," the text said.

Nature and city tourism in the central-eastern part of the island are consolidated as the most promoted destinations and modalities, which in recent years have gained worldwide prestige for their management and quality, the statement added.

The source said that the music, by the popular troubadour Tony Ávila and his group, along with a varied cocktail prepared by Havana Club International, captured the interest of the Belgian public, a market that in recent times has been discreetly recovering its issuance of tourists to Cuba.

The participation of Cuba in Salon des Vacances contributes to expand relations with local travel agencies, promote the destination with more strength and maintain excellence in the face of competitors in the region.
