HAVANA, Cuba, Jan 16 (ACN) Officials and businessmen from Cuba and Iran will give an impulse to the commercial and cooperation relations between both countries during the celebration, in this capital, of the XVII Session of the Intergovernmental Commission between both countries.

On Tuesday, a meeting of experts took place that precedes today's meeting, which has the purpose of establishing a space for exchange in aspects of economic, financial, collaboration and investment relations, Ileana Núñez Mordoche, deputy minister of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment, wrote in Twitter.

The institutional website of this Ministry specifies that additionally new agreements will be signed between entities of both countries for collaboration in the sectors of health, trade promotion and investment, energy, agriculture and sports.

The celebration in Havana of the XVII Session of the Intergovernmental Commission is preceded by the visit to Iran, in December 2017, of the vice-president of the Council of State and of Ministers Roberto Morales.

It was also preceded by the contact held, in the context of the 73rd Session of the United Nations General Assembly in September 2018, between Miguel Díaz-Canel, Cuban President, and Hassan Rouhani, President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, to evaluate proposals for collaboration in the area of health.
