HAVANA, Cuba, Oct 31 (ACN) To have a greater presence of Chinese investors and explore new business opportunities for mutual benefit is a priority for Cuba, said Eloy Alvarez Martinez, deputy Minister of Industries (Mindus).
During the official inauguration of the China Pavilion at the XXXVI International Fair of Havana (FIHAV 2018), he reaffirmed the interest of Cuba to continue consolidating economic and commercial ties with the Asian country.
According to the vice-minister, China is ratified as the third commercial partner of the Island at world-wide level and counts in the event with more than 30 companies, which turns it into one of the nations with greater representation in the appointment.
Both countries have maintained stable economic relations for years, an example of which is the 2018-2020 action plan established between the Ministry of Industry of Cuba and its counterpart in the People's Republic of China.
Álvarez Martínez together with Vilma Sánchez, director of trade policy with Asia and Oceania of the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment; and Chen Xi, China's ambassador to Cuba, toured the pavilion of the Asian giant to get to know the work of the exhibiting companies.
Soyea Jiu Rong Technology Co., LTD participates in FIHAV for the third consecutive time and hopes on this occasion to introduce new products to the Cuban market, informed the Cuban News Agency Jessica Yan, director of the trade department of the firm.

The products to be marketed include a whole range of televisions, among them intelligent touch screen models, as well as surveillance cameras, and they plan to continue exporting digital decoder parts to Cuba for assembly, she said.
Elias Xuan, vice representative in Havana of the Shanghai Astronautical Science-Technology Development Corporation, told ACN that for the past two years they have been selling solar panels to the island, due to the growing interest of Cuba in renewable energy sources.
