HAVANA, Cuba, Jun 29 (acn) The Spanish Company Iberostar has been operating since last March in tourist facilities of this coastal municipality of Holguin province, Cuba, with the aim of achieving the management of hotels in the territory and their subsequent commercialization worldwide.
The Club Nautico, Rio de Mares restaurant, Siglo XX cultural center, El Coral Bar, the Ordoño, Arsenita, Plaza Colon and El Faro hotels, as well as the building under construction Bahia del Almirante, make up a network of tourist facilities belonging to this foreign firm.
Ana Beatriz Olaio, in charge of Iberostar Oriente Operations, told ACN that the company's mission is to provide quality services in the best tourist destinations in the region with a wide variety of offers.
She stressed that more than 1,500 tourists have visited the town of Gibara since April, a figure that contributes to the purpose of the company to become this destination in an important tourist pole in the nation, taking advantage of its cultural and natural potential to insert it into the Holguin Iberostar circuit.
Olaio also highlighted the projections of the Spanish corporation to contribute to the advancement of the Cuban tourism industry, which includes among its main actions in this destination the inauguration of the Iberostar Holguin and Albatros hotels, located in the resorts of Pesquero and Guardalavaca, respectively.
Iberostar is a Spanish chain with more than a hundred hotels distributed all over the world, with an accentuated presence in the Caribbean region, where it is active in islands such as the Dominican Republic and Cuba.
