HAVANA, Cuba, May 24 (ACN) TripAdvisor granted Cuba's Hotel Nacional the 2018 Certificate of Excellence given to tourism installations that offer systematic quality service.
According to the popular website, the award is given to installations that receive continuous positive opinions from clients in the last 12 months.
Millions of published commentaries in TripAdvisor recognized the service of the Hotel Nacional, opened on December 30th, 1930 and managed by Gran Caribe Hotel Chain.
The emblematic hotel with 439 rooms was named the best hotel in Cuba in 2016 at the 26th Edition of the World Travel Awards considered the Oscar of the tourism industry.
Hundreds of renowned figures from the arts, sciences and politics have visited the Hotel Nacional, symbol of history, culture and Cuban identity since its creation.
The hotel is diversifying its market, welcoming tourists from Turkey, France, Italy, Argentina, Mexico, Colombia and Brazil with airlines that have inaugurated new routes from different countries to Havana.
The Nacional also receives Heads of States, important figures, high-level delegations and participants to different business forums.
The canons that make up the former Santa Clara Battery exhibited in its garden was declared World Heritage Site; the Hotel is also a National Monument and was inscribed in the World Memory Registry, reports the website.
