Cuba´s International Tourism Fair kicks off Today

HAVANA, Cuba, May 2 (acn) The 38th International Tourism Fair will open today its doors in Santa Maria Cay, in the Cuban central province of Villa Clara, as an ideal opportunity to promote the recreational product of this destination and consolidate the hiring for the 2018-19 winter.

The new Sercotel Experience Cayo Santa Maria Hotel will host the official inauguration of the most important event of the Cuba tourism industry, devoted this time to the UK and the sun and beach modality, the most demanded by those visiting the Caribbean nation.
The fair, which will run until May 5, will also cover the neighboring keys of Ensenacho and Las Brujas, and the cities of Santa Clara, Remedios and Sagua la Grande, which potential will be exhibited to businessmen, tour operators, travel agents and airline representatives from several countries.
To strengthen ties and learn about the projects that Cuba offers to foreign capital in order to boost the growth of tourism, the event will have an area dedicated to business, and will also host the usual fair of suppliers with proposals made by local producers.
Although the arrival of foreign visitors to Cuba decreased by seven percent in the first quarter of this year, local authorities maintain their optimism of reaching the record figure of five million vacationers by the end of the season.
