HAVANA, Cuba, Mar 23 (ACN) Trinidad-Tobago is interested in fostering exchange with the Cuban agri-business sector, said ambassador to Havana Lacelot Cowie during a tour of the 21st Food and Agriculture Fair Fiagro 2018.
The Trinidadian diplomat praised Cuba's achievements in urban gardening and the development of organic products including fertilizers.
In statements to PL news agency, Cowie recalled that Cuban experts are assisting his country in vegetable production and he said he wished to see that assistance expanding to the production of cocoa as well.
In 2017, a Trinidadian business mission visited Cuba to explore commercial opportunities particularly in the production of paints Cowie recalled, and stressed the recent opening of an air connection between the two countries, which contributes to enhancing bilateral trade and cultural exchange.
The Havana International Agriculture Fair has been joined by representatives of 22 foreign companies and over 200 Cuban exhibitors who displayed their products and services at the event's commercial fair.
