HAVANA, Cuba, Mar 7 (ACN) Cuba is exhibiting a renovated tourism product at the 51th International Tourism Fair (ITB 2018) underway in Berlin, Germany, according to Prensa Latina News Agency.
The traditional sun and beach destination has currently improved hotels in tune with the demands of international standards and circuits of nature and culture highly demanded by the German market.
Cuba has a 176 square meters modern designed stand exhibiting its Cuban identity, accompanied by good music and cigars enjoyed by its visitors.
The Cuban delegation, headed by Tourism Minister Manuel Marrero and directives of the Gran Caribe, Gaviota, Cubanacan Hotel chains and travel agencies.
Representatives of associated companies are also participating in the fair, among them Iberostar, Blue Diamond and Resorts, Roc Hotels, Sercotel and Manzana Kempiski Hotels.
The German market included 243 thousand 408 tourists to Cuba in 2017 reaffirming the market as one of the most important in the country and placing itself in fourth place in the number of vacationers to the Caribbean island.
