21st Agro-industrial Food Fair Begins in HavanaHAVANA, Cuba, Mar 7 (ACN) The 21st Agro-industrial Food Fair, FIAGROP to be held from March 19th to the 25th at the Rancho Boyeros Exhibition Center will have the participation of 226 exhibitors from 18 countries.

The Director of Promotion and Events of the Agricultural and Animal Fair Company, Ignacio Caraballo Barreto told the press in Havana that the number of participants grew considerably compared to the previous year and did not rule out the possibility of more representatives.

Among the nations with the largest number of participants are Spain, Germany, Mexico, Panama, Holland, Brazil, Argentina, Colombia, Uruguay, Guatemala, Costa Rica, United States and New Zealand.

He added that they will present an updated version of the portfolio of opportunities to foment foreign investment in the agricultural and animal sector.

Caraballo pointed out that there will hold conferences on the quality and production of meat, good practices for the organization of a herd, treatment of pig residues and the use of renewable energy in addition to available food resources in Cuba, Latin America and the Caribbean.

The organizers of FIAGROP informed on the participation of the country's 125 outstanding producers who will exhibit their achievements in cattle, reforestation and agricultural and tobacco productions.

He added that the event constitutes an ideal place to increase experiences and knowledge on how to achieve better food production that can allow the demand of the population and tourism.

A variety of animal species, agricultural equipment, accessories of the technology in exploitation and other prospects in use will be presented during the event.

According to the program national and international Rodeo championships will be held between the provinces of Villa Clara, Ciego de Avila and Sancti Spiritus and professionals from Colombia, the US, Guatemala, Costa Rica and Cuba.

The fair promotes new possibilities each year of commercialization, investments, foment the culture of cattle and agriculture and rodeo as a sports of cattle experts.
