Memories Varadero Ready for High Tourism Season

VARADERO, Cuba, Oct 3 (ACN) There are no remains of Hurricane Irma in the Hotel Memories Varadero and the installation is ironing out the final details to begin the high tourism season next November 15th.

The hotel, currently with its doors open, has one thousand 35 rooms with clients from Canada, Europe and Cuba said Derlin Robert Bueno Cruz, Assist Director and commented on the intense recovery work underway by the staff.

Located in the extreme part of the Hicacos Peninsula, Memories Varadero suffered the effects of the hurricane with winds and waves that knocked some 200 beach umbrellas and glass but barely 16 hours later, all was recovered, said Bueno Cruz.

The joint venture Hotel Gaviota-Blue Diamond, has 1.5 kilometers from the entrance of the installation to the beach, one of the most spacious of the resort and offers services of specialized restaurants, pools, spa, snack bar, buffet and high quality night performances.

The young director Bueno Cruz said that they worked hard, the personnel of the brigades that we organize in cases of natural phenomenon spend days without leaving the hotel, but it was worth the effort, because we only have memories of the hurricane.

The effects of Irma in the main tourism resort of sun and beach in Cuba are already solved, stressed authorities of the Tourism Ministry in the Province of Matanzas and ratified that it's ready for the high season.
Five hotels in Varadero, Punta Arena-Playa Caleta, Club Karey, Paradisus Varadero, El Patriarca and Melia Peninsula remain closed and are in the recovery process to reopen its doors next November 15 th.
