Havana, Cuba, Apr 24 (acn) The First Trade Convention will is to debate economic development in Cuba starting from the improvement of new management models, said a representative of the organizing committee.
Mirelys Gonzalez Batista, main specialist in the market told the press that the encounter, scheduled from May 15th to the 19th at Havana's Convention Center will center its debates on different forms of management in trade, cuisine and services.
She said the convention is inserted within the challenges and perspectives of sustainable trade and conceived as a scientific activity in which several events will be developed.
Among them is the Colloquium on Marketing, communication and image; symposiums on quality, safety standards, environment and consumer protection, sustainable logic and cosmetology and culinary art.
Other events to be held parallel to the convention are book presentations, exhibition fair, fashion show, exhibition of Cuban food and art and a tour through the retailer trade network in Havana.
The Ministry of Domestic Trade and its Research and Development Center, said Gonzalez, organized the First Trade Convention.
Other institutions have sponsored the event like the University of Havana, Jose Antonio Echeverria Technological University of Havana, Federation of Culinary Associations, Center for Public Administration Studies, National Design Office and the San Geronimo University in Old Havana.
In addition, the Management and Quality Development Center, National Association of Economists and Accountants, TRD Caribe Store Chain, CIMEX S.A. Corporation, Palco Business Group and the Union of Trade and Culinary Companies.
