Havana, December 6 (ACN) The agro-industrial company in the town of Ceballos in the province of Ciego de Avila increased its production after reducing the cycles of fruit processing in the last four years due to new equipment and technology.
The official daily Granma reported that this is one of the best organized investment programs whose main benefits is thanks to the Ceballos Industry in the province.
Rodolfo Morales Perez, Director of the Center known as UEB, said that the factory is located in an area severely affected by the drought forcing the installation with cooling towers, liquid savings have been reinforced and a line for the water production is being developed which is obtained through a process known as reversed osmosis.
These strategies save electric energy and makes it possible to obtain better quality juices in its color and odor. Another project will soon be enlisted aimed at recovering condensed water from the concentration of fruit juice to reuse them in feeding the boilers.
Morales Perez gave a detailed explanation on the other investments benefiting the production process like the bank of transformers and air compressors and the substitution of the mercury lamps in place of others types of led inside and outside the installations.
They also mentioned the use of solar heaters to feed laundries with hot water and boilers of the kitchen-dining rooms.
According to the Granma report, the best installations replaced the losses of work days and allowed an increase in the average salaries per workers to over 2 thousand 100 pesos every month.
