Cuba to Present in Italian Cities its Tourist AttractionsHAVANA, Cuba, Oct 7 (acn) Cuba's potential as tourist destination will be shown from October 10 to 12 in six Italian cities, with the purpose of consolidating positioning in that market, one of the main sources of tourists to the Caribbean island.

According to the Tourism Ministry (MINTUR), ¨Cuba se presenta¨ (Showing Cuba), will include a tour of Rome, Naples, Lucca, Florence, Bologna and Rimini, as part of promotional activities before the start of the high tourist season.
The press release stresses that these meetings aim to update operators and travel agents on the novelties of the island's entertainment industry.
Led by Manuel Marrero, head of MINTUR, the Cuban mission will provide information about the attractions of the main areas: Varadero, Cayo Largo, Jardines del Rey, Santa Clara, Cays North of Villa Clara, Holguin, Santa Lucia and Havana, one of the seven wonder cities of modern world.
Presentations will end in Rimini, where the Cuban delegation will participate in the TTG Incontri Fair -from October 13 to 15 -, which is the most important international meeting of Italy's tourist sector.
The MINTUR text notes that meetings in the Italian cities will be also attended by the Tourism Adviser at the Cuban Embassy in that country, representatives of the hotel chains Gran Caribe, Islazul and Cubanacan and of the travel agencies Cubatur and Cubanacan, among others.
The press release adds that Cuba's interest in the Italian market continues to grow and operations of clubs in Varadero and Cayo Guillermo will be expanded for next season, while those existing in Cayo Largo, Santa Lucia and Cayo Santa Maria will remain.
Air operations to Cuba will also increase for winter with flights by the agencies Blue Panorama, Neos and Meridiana and with the incorporation of Alitalia.
In addition, the MSC Company will operate cruisers Armonia and Opera in the winter period.
At the end of the first semester of 2016, concludes the note, visits of Italians to Cuba reported an increase of 49 percent when compared to the same period of 2015.
