HAVANA, Cuba, Aug 18 (acn) Cuba will attend the 10th Congress of the Association of Sugar Technicians of Latin America and the Caribbean (Atalac) and the 38th Convention of the Association of Sugar Technicians of Mexico (ATAM), in its 70th anniversary.
The two meetings will be held from August 31 to September 2 at the World Trade Center in Boca Rio, Veracruz, the largest city in the Mexican state of the same name, Master of Science Eduardo Lamadrid, president of the Cuban Association of Sugar Technicians of Cuba (ATAC) told ACN.
Lamadrid wile had the delegation composed of another 12 specialists, including Engineer Sergio Guillen, director of the National Sugar Cane Research Institute (INICA) and Doctor of Economics Luis O. Galvez, advisor of the Cuban Research Institute of Sugarcane Derivatives (ICIDCA), the same source added.
All in all, 20 oral presentations will be made and two posters will be presented, and the meeting includes visits to places of technical interest and an exhibition fair with advanced technologies in the agricultural sphere, mechanization and agrochemicals among others, as an industrial with Mexican and foreign exhibitor companies.
The ATAC will hold meeting with equivalent associations from Guatemala,, Colombia and Costa Rica to sign technical cooperation agreements like the one signed five years ago with the ATAM, the results of which have been very beneficial for both parties.
