Russia´s Rosneft Official held a working visit to Cuba

HAVANA, Cuba, Jul 30 (acn) Russia´s Rosneft Oil Company CEO Igor Sechin paid a working visit to Cuba last week and he met with government vicepresident Ricardo Cabrisas on joint cooperation projects.

The two officials discussed the implementation of joint project between Russia´s Rosneft and Cuba Cupet oil companies aimed at enhancing oil recovery at Cuban oil fields, according to an article posted on Rosneft webpage.
The meeting was also attended by Cuban Minister of Energy and Mining Alfredo Lopez and General Director of Union Cuba Petroleo (CUPET) Juan Torres Naranjo.
Information on the page also reads that Rosneft and CUPET signed a memorandum of cooperation for projects implementation in Cuba at the St-Petersburg International Economic Forum in May 2014.
In July 2014 the parties signed a Cooperation Agreement in Havana for brownfields enhanced oil recovery in the presence Russian President Vladimir Putin and the President of the Council of State of Cuba Raul Castro.
The document provides for joint comprehensive studies of fields and wells development and operation conditions at the territory of Cuba in order to optimize oil production processes, improve well stock operation efficiency and execute well works for enhanced oil recovery.
