HAVANA, Cuba, Jun 21 (acn) The current situation of the ongoing collaboration projects between Cuba and Russia aimed at increasing the industrial capacity of the Caribbean nation will be reviewed today during the second day of the International Convention of the Cuban Industry (Cubaindustria 2016) underway in Havana.
At the Havana´s Conventions Center, entrepreneurs from the two countries will go over the agreements related to the updating of the Jose Marti Iron and Steel Enterprise, the biggest steel plant in Cuba.
Participants will also learn about the experiences of Cuban technicians and workers that were trained at the Magnitogorsk State Technical University.
It is expected both parties will sign several accords, and create joint ventures in the iron and steel industry
At the opening of Cubaindustria 2016, Georgy Kalamanov, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation said his country will make new investments in Cuba in cargo transportation and railroads.
He noted Russia will supply Kamaz trucks to Cuba, along spare parts and other items to make Cuban cargo transportation more efficient
