Cuban schools for hotel services are leaders in the Caribbean

Havana, June 16 (ACN) The Cuban Schools for Hotel Services are leaders in the Caribbean for its contributions and professionalism, said on Wednesday in Mexico, Ramon Simon Ricardo, Educational Sub Director of the Professional Formation System for Tourism, (FORMATUR).

The directive of the education training center is participating in a promotion tour through several Mexican cities for a Cuba-Mexico tourism presentation whose slogan is: United peoples, history, culture and tradition, reported Prensa Latina News Agency.

The objective of the visit is to strengthen ties with the Pan American Schools of Hotel, Food and Tourism Services, (Conpeht) whose president is Mexican Ramon Martinez, and promoter of the exchanges between both nations.

Simon Ricardo said that Mexico has a tradition in training tourism professionals as absolute leaders and sponsors of congresses and events in compliance with the demands of international tourism.

Conpeht gathers over one hundred schools in Ibero-America destined at training in different specialties in addition to increasing the technical-professional level of tourism workers, he said.

The presentations promotes the 26 thIbero American Congress of Hotel and Tourism Schools to be held in Havana next October.

The representative of Formatur explained that this congress will be dedicated to the impact of tourism in community development and will include socio-cultural and ethnic issues in addition to holding research, student and educators events.

This institution, he said, will guarantee the quality of the industry in Cuba and the professionalism of its workers with 15 schools across the country linked with regions and tourism complexes and includes branches in several provinces.

The educational system offers course in basic training, language and preparation in intermediate and superior levels of different profiles.
