Equatorial Guinea and Cuba Expand Cooperation in Agricultural Sector

HAVANA, Cuba, May 30 (acn) The governments of Cuba and Equatorial Guinea are willing to expand cooperation in the agricultural sector and meet the objectives reflected on the national program for socioeconomic development called Horizons 2020.

This was confirmed today by specialist Antonio Buides, of the Cuban Ministry of Agriculture, and the business director of the Cuban agricultural trading and exporting company (Catec), John Parris, who concluded a working visit to Malabo, reports Prensa Latina.
Diplomatic circles indicated that both representatives verified that works are carried out in Equatorial Guinea to achieve food self-sufficiency, increase agribusiness and export agricultural products.
Standing out in each place visited, added the source, was the satisfaction of Equatorial Guinean authorities for the bonds of cooperation with the Caribbean nation, particularly in the agricultural sector, in which they have been working for years in the training of human resources.
Buides and Parris spoke highly about the meetings held with the leadership of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, the Chamber of Commerce and the permanent representation of the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), as well as with directors of the Horizons 2020 agency and entrepreneurs.
