Cuba exports agricultural tools to Jamaica

Cuba exports agricultural tools to JamaicaHOLGUIN, Cuba, May 12 (acn) The export of several products to Jamaica is one of the priorities of Heroes del 26 de Julio agricultural implements factory, located in this city.

Executives of the company, founded on July 27, 1981 with Bulgarian consultancy, recently traveled to the neighboring Caribbean island with three-disc plows, which underwent field tests that endorsed their excellent yields.

Juan Carlos Pargas, director of the company, told ACN that the interest of Jamaicans for productions of his entity also includes other non-agricultural implements which are also manufactured in his enterprise.

For this year, he said, we will also export cast parts as grids and cones, of iron and aluminum, destined to the construction sector of the largest Anglophone Caribbean Island.

Pargas added that currently the company explores other potential markets in the area like the Dominican Republic, with great business opportunities.
Fulfillment of the production plan in the first quarter of this year confirmed the stability of the factory in recent years.

The entity has about 725 implements demanded by several agencies, especially Azcuba group, Tabacuba and the Ministry of Agriculture, he explained.

The executive argued that the main products they produce are plows, harrows and spare parts, while the main raw material is steel and other components such as fasteners and bearings.

As part of the modernization process, the entity ventures into innovative productions, including seven-disk multiple plows, which are currently being tested in the agricultural fields of the municipality of Mayari.
