Trinidad and Tobago to Expand Business in CubaHAVANA, Cuba, Feb 29 (acn) The government of Trinidad and Tobago intends to expand and diversify business in Cuba, after considering as successful the recent contacts of Cuban businessmen with those of these Caribbean islands, Prensa Latina reported.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dennis Moses, urged companies of the country to take advantage of existing opportunities and insert their products and services in the Cuban market, points out a note from the embassy of Havana to Port of Spain.
He also expressed satisfaction with the positive results of a trade mission that traveled to Cuba in November in the context of Havana's International Fair, and praised the successful positioning of Trinitarian firms such as Sacha Cosmetics and Angostura Holdings Limited.
On the other hand, Moses recalled the historic ties of friendship and cooperation existing between the two countries.
Trinidad and Tobago, along with Barbados, Guyana and Jamaica, were the first Caribbean islands that in 1972 decided to establish diplomatic relations with Havana and break in that way the isolation faced by Cuba after the revolutionary triumph in January, 1959.
