Cuba and Kazakhstan Strengthen Cooperation in Various Spheres

HAVANA, Cuba, Feb 18 (acn) The willingness to strengthen the links of political, economic and commercial cooperation was ratified today in Astana, capital of Kazakhstan, at a meeting between Sugurbaev Bulat, director of the Americas Department of the Kazakh Foreign Ministry, and Carlos Valdes, Cuba's ambassador to that country.

According to Prensa Latina, the two parties agreed to describe as excellent the prospects and potential to diversify and expand cooperation in various areas of mutual benefit.
A note circulated to the press by the embassy of the island, asserts that during the meeting the next visit to the Kazakh capital of a delegation of the Cuban Chamber of Commerce, which will participate in the preparatory forum of the International Expo Astana 2017, was confirmed.
It also states that Cuba expects the visit of a delegation of the Attorney General of Kazakhstan, which will take part in the 13th International Criminal Science Meeting 2016, to be held in Havana in March.
The text expresses that the parties welcomed the program recently carried out in Havana by the first vice president of the Kazakhstan-Cuba Association, Baxit Rustemov, organized by the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples.
