HAVANA, Cuba, Feb 5 (acn) The incoming Egyptian Parliament President Ali Abdel-Al received on Thursday in Cairo Cuban ambassador Laureano Rodriguez Castro during an activity ratifying friendship ties between both nations.
According to Cubaminrex website, both parts highlighted the historic relations between the Caribbean island and Egypt during the encounter where Rodriguez Castro congratulated the new Parliament President for his recent election.
In addition, both officials expressed satisfaction for the positive state of political and diplomatic relations between both countries in addition to the need to continue working towards developing and strengthening those ties above all in the economic and commercial sectors.
The Cuban ambassador stressed the desire to reestablish relations between both Parliaments and work together to defend both the interest of both nations and Third Work in general in the different international forums.
The Egyptian parliamentarian expressed that he will work in favor of developing successful relations between both National Assemblies and thanked Cuba for its unconditional support to the Arab nations and in particular the cause of the Palestinian people.
