HAVANA, Cuba, Feb 5 (acn) Cuban Food Industry Minister Maria del Carmen Concepcion is paying an official visit to Namibia till Sunday at the invitation of the local minister for Fisheries and Marine Resources Bernard Essau.
According to diplomatic sources, the Cuban government official described her Namibia trip as crucial opportunity to boost economic and commercial relations based on strong historic bonds of friendship between Havana and Windhoek.
Concepción, who is also a member of Cuba´s Communist Party Central Committee, will tour places of economic interest including a fish-processing plant in the coastal city of Walvis Bay and cattle development facilities.
The Cuban minister will also meet with local entrepreneurs and leaders like the vice-president of Namibia Nickey Iyambo.
Minister Concepción previously visited Angola where she talked bilateral cooperation with local authorities in the field of fisheries and aquiculture.
