HAVANA, Cuba, Jan 28 (acn) Cuba and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) signed on Thursday two protocols of international cooperation, on trade and scientific and technical development, the Prensa Latina news agency reported.
The promotion of the exchange of goods in the Barter modality between the two states, primarily for inputs for the benefit of the Railroad Union of the Caribbean country to favor the island's sugar industry, was established with the signing of the two documents, by Rodrigo Malmierca, Minister of Foreign Trade and Investment, and Pak Chang Yul, ambassador of the DPRK in Cuba.
Malmierca stressed the strong political will of Havana in developing links between the parties, while Chang Yul expressed his satisfaction for the signing of the documents and the strengthening of ties between the two nations.
The meeting, held at the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Investment, also supports sectors such as health, higher education, culture, sports and agriculture, among others.
