Austria Identifies in Cuba New Business Opportunities

HAVANA, Cuba, Dec. 16 (acn) Business persons of important companies of Austria explore in Cuba new business opportunities that allow strengthening bonds, on the occasion of the visit to the island of Alois Stöger, Federal Minister of Transport, Innovation and Technology of the European nation.

The mission is also composed of high executives of the Federal Chamber of Economy, the Federation of Industries, the Austrian Institute of Technology, as well as representatives of 24 companies of the sectors of construction, transport, energy, the environment, health, research, food and agriculture industry and trade.
At the business forum held at the capital's Hotel Nacional de Cuba, Pedro Luis Padron, director for Commercial Policy with Europe of the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Investment, stressed the significance of the meeting to identify a group of better purchase-sale opportunities.
The Federal Secretary of Transport, Innovation and Technology of Austria highlighted that the high number of companies making up the delegation demonstrates the marked interest to have greater cooperation with the island.
As part of his visit, which will end on December 17, Stöger commented the intention of signing a memorandum of understanding with the Ministry of Transport, in order to create a solid foundation to exchange technologies between the two nations.
