HAVANA, Cuba, Nov 18 (acn) The import-export company Cubahidráulica will extend the coming year its professional and technical cooperation services to Algeria and Central America and the Caribbean countries, sources of the entity said.
Such activity is one of its export items and is now embodied in Angola and South Africa, nation that counts with the advising of 35 Cuban specialists in the areas of water and sanitation.
Gisel Perez Wong, Cubahidráulica Director of Exports, attached to the National Institute of Hydraulic Resources, told ACN that they also intend, in the long term, placing domestic goods in the foreign market.
According to the official, the exportable items include high density polyethylene (HDPE) pipes, with their accessories, and electrical panels, with potential for commercialization in Latin America and the Caribbean.
Cubahidráulica will also continue in 2016 with the import of pumping equipment, parts and accessories for the rehabilitation program of hydraulic networks developed in the country, Perez Wong said.
Along with these supplies, the company ensures the purchase of raw materials for the manufacture of high quality HDPE pipes produced in Havana and Ciego de Avila.
According to the specialist, the main challenge of Cubahidráulica is seeking new partners, as its main parts and equipment suppliers are Germany and Spain.
Similarly, they will try their trade relations with its suppliers to include the implementation of equipment and technical advice for optimum application, besides the assurance of spare parts, in search of sustainable use of these technologies in the country.
